She was arriving by car with her daughter at a gym around 7:00 a.m. when a man put a gun to her neck, but it misfired. She ran and jumped on a bus, as did one of the assailants, who shot her there.
2006:
On September 5, 2006 José Alayr Andreatta was sentenced to 13 years in prison as the mastermind of the crime.
On the same date Marcos Egydio Costa was sentenced to 9 years and 4 months in prison. He was the airline pilot who helped the murderers escape.
