He was traveling by road towards the Atlantic when at kilometer 35 he was stopped and shot at from another vehicle, killing him instantly.
2006:
On September 20, 2006 the Criminal Court sentenced Marco Antonio Boche Galicia to 21 years in prison and José David Morales Franco to 14 years for having committed the murder.
