Since October 5 he had been traveling to San Pedro Sula to cover a game of the national soccer team. On October 9 his body was found, with wounds to the head, in the basement of the Holiday Inn Hotel in San Pedro Sula.
2007:
On November 23, 2007 the San Pedro Sula Appeals Court overturned the 2005 acquittal of Edgardo Zúniga and Walter Urbina and sentenced them to 17 years in prison.
