His body, along with that of his friend César Manuel López, was found on a pathway near the Blanco River in Nogales, Veracruz, with signs of gunshot wounds and torture.
2007:
On December 18, 2007 the Pacho Viejo Criminal Court judge sentenced Juan Carlos Rosas Palestino, as perpetrator, to 23 years in prison and the payment of reparations amounting to 73,296 pesos (nearly $7,000).
